Description

You know how the descriptions for these on eBay are for an excellent shape, always garaged? Well this one is not. I bought it two years ago with the idea of fixing it up. I believe it is a 1976 vintage. Since then I have replaced the battery, battery cables, distributor, wires and sparkplugs. I understand from a mechanic friend of mine that it still needs a carburetor rebuild. The seat that is in it is worthless and also needs to be replaced. The rear tires are filled with a foam, so they are flat free. It has a tendency to throw the track on the right side when it is turned sharp on hard ground. I have looked at it and I think the axle has a slight tow in. I do not know if that is an adjustment or a new part. The Bombi runs and both clutches seem OK. The brakes do not work and some big footed oaf (me) pulled some of the wiring from behind the dash, so the lights do not work. It has the four cylinder Ford industrial engine. It also has an engine driven hydraulic pump mounted but not connected. There is no cylinder or plow, even though the front lift arm mounted. There is some rust on the body, but the floor pans seem solid. The tracks and front drive sprockets also seem to be in reasonable shape. I have the maintenance records with original bill of sale from the New York State Power Authority. There are also some of the maintenance receipts from the snowmobile club that owned it after. Iím not trying to sugar cote this. It is in need of some restoration, which I do not have the time to do. I also do not trust the hour meeter on it for the total time. It seems like a solid starting point. I have tried to give you an honest impression, but it is being sold as-is because I have not run it more than about an hour since I bought it.
